At LDSM, we believe children should have meaningful opportunities to contribute to the life and development of their school.

Pupil leadership is about much more than holding a title. We want children to take responsibility, represent others, develop leadership skills, make decisions and see that their ideas can make a genuine difference.

Pupil Parliament

Our Pupil Parliament gives children a democratic voice in the development of their school.

Representatives listen to the views of their classmates, bring ideas to meetings and work together on projects that can make LDSM even better.

Pupils learn first-hand about democracy, representation, responsibility and decision-making.

Leadership Across LDSM

There are many opportunities for pupils to take responsibility and develop their leadership skills, including:

We are continuing to develop these opportunities so that pupils don't simply receive a leadership title, but develop the skills and experiences needed to become effective leaders.

Pupil Voice Making a Difference

We want children to see that their voice matters.

One example is our new playground markings, which last year's Pupil Parliament team helped to choose and develop.
