Long Ditton St Mary's Junior School is an inclusive Church of England School. We welcome children from all backgrounds, regardless of faith or ability, in to a school where Christian values underpin all that we do.  Parents are asked to respect our distinctive Christian ethos and close connections with St Mary's Church.


The Governors of Long Ditton St Mary’s Church of England (Aided) Junior School (LDSM) are the Admissions Authority for the School.

How to Apply for a Place


In-Year Admissions

If you wish to make an in-year application for a place at Long Ditton St Mary’s Junior School, please complete the in-year admission form below and return it to the Admissions Officer at the school. Hard copies are available from the school on request. 


Parents will be notified of the result within 10 school days if possible but 15 at the latest setting out the reason for refusal (if applicable) and the right of appeal.


Applications for Year 3, September 2022

If your child is in year 2 you can make an application to join Year 3 at Long Ditton St Mary's Junior School for September 2022.  Surrey County Council admissions team process these applications and the quickest and easiest way to apply is online. Visit to access the application form and more information on the application process. 


If you are a resident of Kingston-upon-Thames you will need to apply for a place online at or contact School Admissions on 020 8547 4610.  

Processes are in place to notify the local authority of every application and outcome as soon as reasonably practicable with an aim to do this within two days.

Open Day for Prospective Parents for September 2022

We will be holding open mornings for prospective parents at 9.15 am on Monday 11th October and Tuesday 12th October.
