Refugee Week at LDSM

Following a very thought provoking assembly led by Mr Khouja, a Syrian refugee who arrived in the UK in 2014 and who told us all about what his country had been like before and after the war, everyone was inspired to produce some amazing work during the week.

From letters to and from refugees, to 'memory boxes' to try and reflect some of the experiences we had read about, everyone's work was full of empathy, understanding and some lovely descriptive writing.

Have a look at just some of Year 6's work below- but well done everyone!
